Hi, I'm Brenna

(and this is my family).

I think that great shoots start with comfort and connection - so let me tell you a little about myself and my family! I'm 24 years old, an enneagram 2w3, and I'm married to my high school sweetheart Micah! Micah and I were married in August of 2019 and in May of 2021, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Judah Wylder. As a family we love going to church, going on bike rides, and trying out new coffee shops.

I fell in love with photography as a way of seeing the beauty in God's creation. When I started Joyful Roots my husband and I had just suffered a miscarriage. I was heartbroken and in desperate need to see the joy in life again - so I started helping others create memories they could cherish forever. Since then, I have had the honor of getting to capture so many of the joy-filled moments that make up my wonderful clients' lives. From weddings, babies, engagement shoots, and family photos - it has truly become a passion for me to help people celebrate.
